Kathryn McInnes is the face and driving force behind Lessons4Life. A mother of two small children herself, Kathryn understands the concerns of parents and the real issues they are facing in today's world.

With a background in the Police Force and twelve years experience in education, writing and multimedia development, Kathryn has combined her life and career skills to develop a multimedia product that is engaging, educational and fun.

A driven and self-motivated professional, Kathryn is committed to helping parents address sensitive issues with young children and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive throughout their childhood years.

A word from Kathryn...

"Talking to young children about sensitive issues can be a real challenge. Knowing how to ask the right questions to find out the information you want to know, without scaring children or overwhelming them with too much information, is not easy.

What would you say to your child if they were labelled the class bully?

How would you help them cope if they were a victim of teasing or bullying?

How can you help them overcome separation anxiety?

Cope with divorce?

Accept a new baby in the family?

How do you discuss death, sexual abuse or cope with a terminally ill family member?

At times the responsibility of being a parent can be overwhelming!

All around the world, parents and childhood professionals are dealing with these issues and the negative impact they can have on a child's confidence, social skills, peer interaction, sense of security, self-image, health and development on a daily basis.

The multimedia resources I have developed are designed to help parents communicate with their child about sensitive life issues. They involve the child in a hands-on learning experience that causes them to think about life, feelings and consequences, while at the same time engaging them in important conversation with an adult.

They are an effective tool to get you and your child talking about the things that really matter.

I believe that every child has the right to feel safe and loved. I wish you and your child a fun-filled journey through life together."

Our aim – To equip today’s children for tomorrow.

How – By promoting early education and communication between children and adults.

Our tools – Interactive and engaging online learning resources.

Think your kids are too young for multimedia? Think again!

If you were told that children as young as three years old can benefit from the use of multimedia, would you agree? Or would you laugh at the idea of a three year old interacting with such complex technology?

Perhaps the thought of your child knowing more about multimedia tools frightens you, or maybe you are afraid that technology will replace the fun and valuable learning experiences that children have when they engage with traditional story books, board games and personal interaction with others.

At Lessons4Life we have identified the many benefits of using multimedia learning resources to enhance a child’s learning experience.

By no means do we suggest that multimedia tools replace paper-based story books or other traditional educational material, but we do believe that teachers and parents should seize every opportunity to make children’s learning enjoyable, engaging and memorable.

Still not convinced? Why not check out our free eBook ‘Multimedia for Children’ or better still, try our free multimedia demonstration.
